A year and a half after shutting down to deal with damages following a burst water pipe, a restaurant in Arlington finally makes its comeback. Punjab has reopened at 485 Massachusetts Ave. in Arlington Center, welcoming family and friends over the weekend ahead of a grand opening on Monday, according to Your Arlington.
Punjab closed down in February 2016 after cold weather caused a water pipe to burst in the building, as Boston Restaurant Talk reports. The restaurant officially reopens its doors Monday evening at 5 p.m., per a post on the Punjab Facebook page.
The menu features a selection of dishes from Northern India, including samosas, pakoras, pani puri, curries, tandoori, biryani, and dal soup. Punjabi also serves dosa, a dish typical of South Indian cuisine, and is open for lunch and dinner.
