A decade after first arriving in the United States, UK-based noodle chain Wagamama unveils a new location in the area, opening a restaurant in the Seaport District at 100 Northern Ave. This new location opens on the heels of the closure of a Wagamama restaurant in Cambridge’s Harvard Square, and it comes with a brand new cocktail menu.

Wagamama specializes in dishes with widespread Asian influences, serving everything from ramen, soba, and pad thai to donburi (steamed rice bowls), curry, salad, and pressed juices, including gluten-free options. There are also dishes such as steak bulgogi, barbecue beef buns, and prawn gyoza.

This new location stands out from its area counterparts with a new cocktail menu that offers spins on classic drinks. Options include a yuzu mojito made with Tanduay Asian rum and yuzu liqueur and a whisky sour made with Japanese whisky and lapsang souchong liqueur. There is also a selection of Asian craft beers.

This opening brings the grand total of local Wagamamas back up to three: There is one restaurant within the Prudential Center in Back Bay and another in Faneuil Hall. New York City also has one location.
