A new place to drink wine arrives in downtown Boston on Friday, August 18. Taste Wine Bar & Cafe, the counterpart for the neighborhood’s new wine and cheese shop Common Vines, unveils its sleek interior after months of construction with an open house preview from 4 to 6 p.m. today, according to a tweet from Downtown Boston BID. A grand opening for the spot will follow next week.
Owners Jennifer Scott and Chris Hsi opened Common Vines in May while they continued work on their 101 Summer St. wine bar, as previously reported. Now, the product of months of effort will open to the public, complete with an expansive bar, wooden furnishings and accents, and a stock of wine curated to help visitors explore wine in an approachable way.
Wines will be served at Taste by the glass, bottle, or flight, and there will be beer, cheese boards, and charcuterie as well, in addition to light cafe fare and coffee to start the day.
