A Watertown restaurant that specializes in Persian cuisine will spawn a new concept focusing on Nepali and Indian dishes. Molana Restaurant, located at 5 Spring St. will bring Chulo Cuisine & Bar to life on the second floor of the restaurant, according to details on the Molana Facebook page.

Chulo Cuisine will reportedly serve lunch, dinner, and drinks, with live entertainment featuring Nepali music. The second floor has previously been used for events. Eater reached out to the restaurant for more details on the menu and opening timeline and will post updates when available.

There are a few other restaurants in the Boston area that serve Nepalese cuisine: Momo N Curry in Somerville specializes in momo, or dumplings, which Mint Indian Eatery also serves along with Indian dishes. Tasty Momo, The House of Kebab, and Himalayan Bistro Indian in West Roxbury also serve Nepali-inspired dishes, and chef Gita Kantrow popped up at Wink & Nod for a residency last year, serving items like dal soup, pork-filled momo, and cardamom shortcake.
