Downtown Boston welcomes a new restaurant this week that has a nearly 10-year-old sibling in Brookline. Curry House opens the doors of its new location at 102 Water St. on Wednesday, August 2, bringing a lineup of Indian dishes to the area.
Curry House took over the former Beantown Hoagie location near Post Office Square in January this year, as previously reported. Expect to see a similar menu to the original location at 1335 Beacon St., which specializes in a lunchtime buffet and serves dishes such as chicken korma, shrimp curry, pakora, samosa, tandoori entrees, and more. The restaurant bakes its naan and other breads in a charcoal-fired clay oven and offers a vegan buffet on Tuesdays.
The new Curry House location will open across the street from the newly updated Vanderbilt Kitchen & Bar and Villa Mexico Cafe, which relocated to the area from Beacon Hill and opened early in 2016.
