A new restaurant that puts ramen front and center joins a duo of well-known restaurants in Chinatown this weekend: Ruckus Noodles opens its doors on Saturday, July 8, according to Boston Magazine.
The restaurant is the work of Brian Moy and his teams from Shōjō and BLR by Shōjō (aka The Best Little Restaurant), and it is located at 5 Tyler St., steps from Shōjō. There is a concise menu from chef Mike Stark, who comes to the restaurant from Tiger Mama (and previously Coppa and Toro). (Chef Mark O’Leary has departed the Shōjō group.) Expect six different versions of ramen and a selection of toppings for the noodle bowls, along with three small rice bowls.
The ramen selection includes shoyu and miso bowls, along with a tsukemen-style bowl and toppings such as soft eggs, whipped lardo, and more. The restaurant seats 20 people and is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
