A brand new bakery has opened its doors just north of Boston and is spilling over with pastries, coffee, and so much more. Honeycomb officially arrived in Hamilton this week, opening at 248 Bay Rd. in a space built from the ground up and designed under the guise of owner and pastry chef Lauren Moran (formerly Kroesser), who launched this project with her family after leaving Garrett Harker’s Boston restaurant group.

Moran and her husband, Billy — whose family’s bar, Cornwall’s Tavern, is just across the street from where she worked at Eastern Standard — have been working to design and build Honeycomb for a while now, as previously reported.

Moran has developed a few specialty items for the bakery’s menu, which is teeming with pastries, cakes, breads, and cookies. The bakery, which serves Speedwell coffee, Mem Tea, and beer and wine, previewed its offerings during a soft opening earlier this week.

Customers will find croissants, raspberry almond cake, bagels, scones, and other sweet treats. Honeycomb is open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
