A replacement for a now-closed restaurant and bar near TD Garden and North Station will open within the next few months. Rogue Lounge, which took over the former North Star space at 222 Friend St., will bring a varied menu, beer, and cocktails to the neighborhood in September.

Rouge received approval to replace the North Star earlier this year, as previously reported, and Michael DeSousa, Timothy Bartolomeu, Anthony DePinto, and Kevin Ye form the hospitality team behind the new project. The restaurant will have a 130-seat dining room with a bar that seats 25, in addition to a private dining space. There will be dozens of televisions spread throughout the space, which will also be able to accommodate live music and DJs for evening entertainment.

The menu includes dishes with Asian and American influences, including sushi, small plates, and larger entrees. Rouge Lounge will also offer 20 beers on tap and a selection of cocktails. The restaurant will be open for dinner and drinks during the week and will serve lunch on the weekend, with plans to add brunch down the line. Stay tuned for further details on a specific opening date.
