A burger restaurant with several locations around the Boston area will add yet another, this time on the edge of Kendall Square. Boston Burger Company is seeking approval to open at 610 Main St., according to Boston Restaurant Talk; it’s right by the recently relocated Cafe Luna. This will be the fourth location for Boston Burger Company, which originated in Somerville’s Davis Square before expanding to Back Bay and Harvard Square.
Boston Burger Company famously serves massive burgers piled high with toppings ranging from mac and cheese with bacon to fried eggs and onions. There are also enormous “Freak Frappes” (reminiscent of New York’s Black Tap milkshakes), which are made even larger with sweet sauces and toppings coating the upper half of the glass.
A licensing commission agenda for the city of Cambridge indicates the proposed new Boston Burger Company location has applied for an all-alcohol license and will have indoor seating and an outdoor patio when seasonally appropriate. The proposed operating hours go from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, and there may be live music.
Stay tuned for further details on an opening timeline for the new burger restaurant.
