Yvonne’s, Ruka, and Lolita Cocina will soon have a new sibling in downtown Boston: A new venue will open in 10 Post Office Sq., according to the Boston Herald, featuring a full-service restaurant, a connected cigar bar, and a private members club. While initial liquor licensing paperwork calls the forthcoming venue Santeria, a rep told the Herald that the “lounge will have a separate trade name.” It’s unclear whether that means that any portion of the venue will in fact be called Santeria or if that’s just a placeholder for the time being.
The restaurant will join the family of restaurants under the Coje Management group, which is in the early stages of planning and applying for the necessary permits. The venue will span nearly 4,000 square feet in a basement of the Post Office Square building. The opening is a ways off, but Eater will provide updates on progress as information is made available.
The group’s most recent addition, Ruka, specializes in Peruvian and Japanese dishes and arrived soon after the opening of Yvonne’s, as previously reported. Meanwhile, Lolita is on track to get a Fort Point sibling later this year.
