Mike & Patty’s Will Start Slinging Sandwiches in Waltham

A tiny sandwich shop near the South End and Theatre District will take its coveted menu to Waltham. Mike & Patty’s will add a new location at 584 Moody St., in the space that once housed a furniture store, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

At the original location, the 12 Church St. storefront has a few seats and some standing room for ordering, and its sandwiches have garnered praise from the community since it first opened in 2008. The new Mike & Patty’s will be much larger, coming in around 2,800 square feet, Boston Magazine reports, and current owners Ania Zaroda and Michael Gurevich are still finalizing plans for how to use the space and what the menu will look like. (The shop’s name comes from the original owners, Michael Fitzhenry and Patricia Sinaiko, as Wicked Local Waltham reports.)

Currently, Mike & Patty’s offers a small menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, including a breakfast torta made with two fried eggs, cheddar cheese, potatoes, black beans, salsa, and avocado, served on an lggy's sesame torta roll.
