Wellesley will welcome a new source for coffee this week with the opening of CrepeBerry Cafe, a sibling to Broken Grounds Cafe in Newton. Owner Amelia Childs debuts her new project this Friday, June 9, at 352 Washington St., and fans of her Newton cafe will recognize some similarities between the two spots.

Much like Broken Grounds, CrepeBerry will feature a vegetarian-friendly menu that includes bagel sandwiches, acai bowls, and smoothies, along with a few different items to stir things up, as previously reported. In keeping with its name, CrepeBerry has a full section on the menu devoted to 16-inch folded crepes that are stuffed with Nutella, fruit, and maple syrup for a sweet snack, and sweet potato mash, scrambled eggs, or pesto and vegetables for those with less of a hankering. There will also be toasts topped with spreads like homemade chia berry jam, almond butter, fruit, or pesto, along with waffles, chia seed pudding, and yogurt parfait.

The cafe will be serving coffee brewed with beans from Jim's Organic Coffee in West Wareham, and will source its teas through Watertown’s MEM Tea. Starting with its official opening on Friday, CrepeBerry will operate Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
