Look Inside The Pour Yard, Quincy’s New Outdoor Drinking Destination

Now open with canned beers, light bites, and an herb garden

The Pour Yard
| Sarah Storrer for Eater

The Pour Yard opened at 210 Washington St. in Quincy on June 2, featuring the transformation of a former parking lot into an attractive enclosed patio. There’s indoor seating as well, but the star of this new spot is the outdoor dining and drinking space, decorated with an herb garden. (Those herbs show up on the cocktail list in various ways, such as in a blood orange gin and tonic with fresh rosemary.) The new venue is a sibling and neighbor of Cagney’s Pub.

Like canned beers? The Pour Yard’s beer selection is almost entirely canned (no bottles); there are also two draft lines. Plenty of local brews are on the list, from Barrel House Z in Weymouth, Castle Island in Norwood, Lord Hobo in Woburn, Far From the Tree Cider in Salem, and elsewhere.

As for the food, it’s meant to be a light, shareable menu that fits well with summertime al fresco drinking: lemongrass chicken potstickers, chips with a salsa flight, spicy herb-roasted nuts, seared ahi tuna BLT sliders, duck tacos with goat cheese, and the like. Patio-friendly desserts include “retro” ice cream cups and cookies.
