LimeRed Tea House Is Now Serving Puffle Cones and Bubble Tea in Allston

A tea house with locations in Amherst and Northampton has officially expanded to Boston, opening its newest location in Allston. LimeRed Tea House is now open at 1092 Commonwealth Ave., and the team behind it once ran Limoo Tea Bar down the road at 1032 Commonwealth Ave., as previously reported.

Limoo closed down in December, and owners Joe Deng and Ray Lee moved on to pursue this new venture. The pair is now in command of the third location of LimeRed Tea House, which has a vast menu of tea beverages, including milk tea with and without boba. There are also coffee drinks, smoothies, and matcha, plus macarons, snacks, ice cream-filled egglet waffle cones, and an item called the “wafflegato,” which adds a puffed waffle cone to a vanilla or matcha affogato.

LimeRed officially debuted towards the end of last week after a soft opening.
