A newly renovated restaurant in Newton has officially opened in a space that formerly housed an Irish pub. Grande Kitchen + Bar is up and running at 118 Needham St. in place of Mick Morgan’s, and it features a menu of modern American dishes for lunch, dinner, and brunch.

Adam Kube, formerly of Bastille Kitchen, serves as executive chef of Grande Kitchen + Bar, which emphasizes local and seasonal ingredients. Starters include items like grilled oysters, porcini arancini, beef tartare, and spring rolls, and there are salads, soups, charcuterie, and local cheese available, plus a handful of vegetable sides. Entrees run the gamut from Atlantic salmon to cheeseburgers, prosciutto-wrapped cod, and saffron tagliatelle, and there are flatbreads topped with everything from chorizo to pickled onions. The lunch menu offers additional sandwich options, and there are kids menus available, and gluten-free items are clearly designated across the board. Grande also serves brunch, complete with a mimosa bar, and serves a selection of wine, beer, and cocktails.

Grande Kitchen + Bar is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Brunch on Sunday starts at 10 a.m., and the restaurant remains open until 10 p.m.
