A team of restaurateurs that runs a popular beer bar in Downtown Crossing unveils its newest project today. Vanderbilt Kitchen & Bar (105 Water St.) underwent some renovations and reopens today under the management of the Stoddard’s Fine Food & Ale group, according to Boston Magazine.

Jason Fiset will serve as chef of Vanderbilt Kitchen & Bar, with Jamie Walsh, Patrick DeFreitas, and the Cintolo family rounding out the ownership team. The restaurant kicks into gear with lunch and dinner service Tuesday, and the menu includes meat and seafood entrees, plus starters such as crab dip, oysters, and fried brie. There are also cocktails and plenty of craft beers, with a focus on local breweries.

Vanderbilt is open Monday through Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m., Thursday and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. The owners reportedly plan to add Sunday service in the fall.
