A group of Mexican restaurants in Boston will add a new location in a suburban area this coming fall. El Centro plans to expand to Dedham, opening at 350 Washington St., according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
With existing locations in Brookline Village, Boston’s South End, and Belmont, El Centro will add a fourth location that will carry on the same menu of Mexican dishes, joining a new location of Blue Ribbon BBQ restaurant in Dedham Square. (Blue Ribbon is also expected to open this fall.)
Chef and owner Allan Rodriguez started El Centro and has built a collection of restaurants that feature family recipes and dishes such as chile relleno, tostadas, tacos, and assorted chef’s specials.
Nearby, a restaurant called Roadworthy has opened at 125 Washington St., and it is a self-proclaimed “outlandish destination for fun and delicious foods.” Roadworthy draws inspiration from street food and food truck dishes and serves a menu of biscuits, grinders on Iggy’s bread, breakfast pizza, and assorted sides and accompaniments like corn puppies, arugula salad, fried ravioli, and more.
