A seafood-filled restaurant landed in Newburyport last week, expanding north from its first home in Salem. Sea Level Oyster Bar opened on Friday at 1 Market Sq. in Newburyport and is serving up a menu of raw bar items, lobster rolls, and more classic New England dishes.

Sea Level is the work of George Carey, Dave Gillis, and Serie Keezer, who operate the original restaurant in Salem. (Gillis also owns Salt Kitchen and Rum Bar in Ipswich.) The Newburyport restaurant features an outdoor patio and bar and views of the Merrimack River. The raw bar menu includes oysters, shrimp, and lobster; appetizers include wings, crab cakes, mussels, and nachos; and there are seafood and meat entrees, plus pizza, fried and grilled fish, tacos, burgers, lobster rolls, and other sandwiches. There are also cocktails, wines, and beer.

Sea Level is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 to 11 p.m. on Sunday, per the restaurant’s Facebook page.
