Italian Cafe Gelato opened earlier this month at 21 Chestnut St. in Quincy, as previously reported, serving up cups, cones, and take-home containers of gelato; gelato sandwiches (on brioche); gelato affogatos and milkshakes; and some non-gelato items, including salads, panini, pastries, and savory croissants. There are also a variety of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages, including the Shakerato — espresso shaken with ice and served in a martini glass.

Two of the co-owners, Denise Santini and Giancarlo Baldini, are also behind Casa Razdora, a fast-casual Italian restaurant in downtown Boston. Their Italian Cafe Gelato co-owner, Daniele Buzza, studied gelato-making in Milan.

Here’s a peek inside the shop, which is located at the West of Chestnut development alongside a couple other dining options, Fuji and KKatie’s Burger Bar.
