A new restaurant in Dorchester that took over a longtime pub space has officially opened. The Industry made its debut at 750 Adams St. with a shiny exterior, classic American comfort food menu, wine, whiskey and beer.
The restaurants owners are David Arrowsmith and Martin Davis, formerly of the Littlest Bar, who took over the former Sonny’s Pub in 2016, as previously reported, making renovations to the restaurant, which had been around for nearly 50 years. The overhauled space features a restaurant and lounge with seating for 140 in plush, red booths, and there is a 30-seat bar and a private room.
The Industry’s menu features seafood and meat, including swordfish and a signature 24-ounce Tomahawk steak, and there is a late-night flatbread menu. For beverages, The Industry offers more than 50 different whiskeys, a wide selection of wine, draft beer, and cocktails. It is open for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m., with bar service from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
