Trina’s Starlite Lounge, a classic Inman Square bar and restaurant located just over the Somerville border, is getting a North Shore sibling this fall — it’s expanding to Amesbury. The Trina’s team (Beau Sturm, Josh Childs, and chef Suzi Maitland) has strong ties to the North Shore already; Sturm and his wife Trina live in Newbury, and Maitland lives in Amesbury. Trina’s Starlite Lounge also already has a North Shore sibling: The Paddle Inn opened in late 2016 in Newburyport. (The restaurant group also includes Audubon in Boston’s Fenway/Audubon Circle area and Parlor Sports right next to Trina’s in Somerville.)
The forthcoming Trina’s will be located at 37 Main St., right in Amesbury’s downtown. (It’s the former No. 8 Kitchen space, as Boston Magazine notes.) More details to come later, but if it’s like its Somerville sibling, visitors can expect a cozy bar scene with creative cocktails, along with plenty of comfort food, including hot dogs, fried chicken, mac & cheese (topped with Ritz crackers and love, per the menu), and more. Stay tuned.
