Boston’s Fenway neighborhood will become home to a New York export on Thursday as the vegan restaurant chain By Chloe opens its second regional location at 100 Van Ness St., as Boston Magazine notes. The new restaurant joins an existing location in the Seaport District, which opened in February, and has a few specialties in store for the neighborhood.
By Chloe has made a name for itself with a menu that’s completely free of dairy, meat, and other animal products, as well as added preservatives and artificial flavors. The approachable menu matches options at other Fenway restaurants and includes burgers and sandwiches, mac and (non-dairy) cheese, salads, fries, and pasta. This new By Chloe also has a neighborhood-exclusive dish: “Fenway Nachos” topped with vegan chorizo, black bean salsa, and jalapeños.
The Fenway restaurant will also offer a brunch menu that includes items such as cinnamon rolls, quinoa hash browns, and a tofu scramble. There will also be desserts available, including cookies, muffins, banana bread, and dairy-free ice cream, and on the beverage side, By Chloe will offer pressed juice, coffee, smoothies, beer, and wine.
By Chloe Fenway spans 3,000 square feet and can seat 75 inside and 26 outside. It will operate Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The vegan chain is also working to open a location in Providence, RI.
