Finn McCool’s Public House is now open in the former Julep Bar space in downtown Boston (200 High St.), according to a Facebook post from the new restaurant. Finn McCool’s serves “gastropub” fare and “ice cold cocktails that are unapologetically Boston,” per its website.
On the menu: “Boston poutine” (clam chowder over fries, garnished with bacon), corned beef nachos, cornbread chorizo mac & cheese, curry chicken pot pie, short rib panini, and more. The aforementioned cocktails include one called You’re So Basic — vodka, prosecco, lemonade, and grapefruit bitters, described as “appropriate to enjoy in yoga pants with a messy bun.”
As previously reported, the Finn McCool’s owners are Arizona-based and already operate a number of other restaurants. They’re also behind Bistro 131, an Italian restaurant opening this spring at 131 Broad St., around the corner from Finn McCool’s. That space was previously home to Broad Street Riot (and Blue Inc. before that).
Finn McCool’s is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday.
