So Much Ice Cream
Stuff yourself full of dessert at Oak + Rowan (321 A St., Fort Point, Boston) tonight. The restaurant is hosting an ice cream social from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. featuring executive pastry chef Brian Mercury’s ice creams, toppings, and more. (Save room for the vanilla almond doughnut sandwich with peach caramel swirl ice cream.) Bar manager Chris O’Neill will also be serving up boozy milkshakes. Tickets are $18.

Temporary Shutter
After suffering a bit of damage in a small fire yesterday, Redbones (55 Chester St., Davis Square, Somerville) is temporarily closed for repairs but could reopen as soon as tomorrow evening. Keep an eye on Facebook for updates.
Ramen Alert
Ramen gem Ganko Ittetsu Ramen (318 Harvard St., Unit 3, Coolidge Corner, Brookline) will play host to Sapporo, Japan’s Nagakura Ramen for three days — June 13, 14, and 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. There will be two types of ramen on the menu those days: chintan ramen (chicken base with clear broth) and paitan ramen (chicken base with creamy white broth). Ganko’s usual ramen will not be available during the Nagakura pop-up, and there will be no vegetarian options.
One Thing You Should Eat Today
One of the best burgers in Boston isn’t in Boston — it’s in Milton. Head to Steel & Rye (95 Eliot St., Milton) for the S&R cheeseburger, which tops Niman Ranch beef with Vermont cheddar and a good dose of crispy shallots. On the side: irresistible chips, house pickles, and steak sauce, because a burger this meaty deserves to be treated like a steak. While eating it, get excited for the Steel & Rye team’s forthcoming Brookline restaurant, Prairie Fire, opening soon in the former Lineage space.
