A Canada-based chain restaurant is finally on the verge of opening a second location in the Boston area: Earls Kitchen + Bar will make its debut within the Prudential Center in Back Bay this coming August, according to Boston Restaurant Talk, nearly two years after the expansion was announced.
Earls will be located inside the Pru near the Italian food emporium, Eataly, which opened last fall. The Earls restaurant space will take up a grand total of 14,500 square feet, as previously reported, and it will feature a bar on the first level, a 300-seat main dining room with an open kitchen on the second floor, and a large rooftop patio and private dining space.
There is another Earls location in Somerville’s Assembly Row, and the restaurant is known for serving a mixed bag menu that includes sushi, noodle and rice bowls, burgers and sandwiches, and shareable items like hot wings, mac and cheese, tacos, and ribs. The Somerville restaurant also serves brunch.
