More Friendly Toasts are on the way: In addition to the forthcoming restaurant in Brookline’s Coolidge Corner, another Toast will take up residence at the Burlington Mall, replacing the now-closed Bobby’s Burger Palace, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
The new Friendly Toast could open in October, according to the Daily Times Chronicle. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, just like the restaurant’s three other locations in Cambridge, Back Bay, and the original in Portsmouth, NH. There will be seating for 120, and The Friendly Toast will get a liquor license, likely from the recently closed Rainforest Cafe.
Davio’s — which has locations in Boston, Foxborough, Chestnut Hill, Lynnfield, and out of state — was originally slated to take over the vacant space left in the mall when Bobby’s Burger Palace closed down at the end of December.
Update, 4/27, 9:15 a.m.: Another new Friendly Toast is in the works, this one in Bedford, NH, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader. The company has signed on to open a restaurant within a new development project called Market and Main, located at the intersection of NH 101 and I-293/Everett Turnpike. There will also be a Trader Joe’s located in the complex.
