In just two short weeks, Lawn on D opens for the season in Boston’s Seaport District. The popular spot for outdoor games, light-up ring swings, and live music will have some new features this year, including a full-service bar with liquor, updates to its food menu, and the option for visitors to reserve tables, according to the Boston Herald.

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, which oversees Lawn on D, will continue the partnership it forged with Rebel Restaurants last year to bring food and beverages to the outdoor space once again. The agreement now includes a full liquor license, meaning there will be spirits available alongside beer and wine and in addition to varied food options.

Food service at Lawn on D begins on May 4, though the venue officially opens May 1. There will be the usual events and live music, and starting the second week of May, visitors will be able to reserve tables for two seatings in the afternoon and evening.

Between the news of Lawn on D’s forthcoming full-service bar and word that Trillium will partner with the Greenway to operate a beer garden, Boston will have plenty of places to enjoy the nice summer weather with an accompanying beverage.
