A handful of restaurants just north of Boston will soon get a new sibling. The de Magistris family, which operates locations of Il Casale in Lexington and Belmont as well as Dante in Cambridge, plans to open a new spot in Belmont Center at 75 Leonard St., according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The space is about 400 feet away from Il Casale.

The new restaurant will occupy a building that formerly housed a Macy’s, and it will share the facility with a Foodie’s Market, a bookstore cafe, and a duo of home furnishing and kitchen stores, Didriks and Local Root, which are siblings and both have locations in Cambridge’s Observatory Hill neighborhood and in Newton’s Lower Falls. The new restaurant will span 3,500 square feet, according to Wicked Local.

A rep for the family confirmed that they had signed a lease for a new project, which will not be an expansion of Il Casale. More details on the restaurant will be released at a later date. It could open in fall 2017.
