Alongside a spurt of recent openings, particularly in Boston’s Seaport District, a handful of restaurants in the Greater Boston area have shut down within the last few weeks. Here’s an overview of what has closed around the region.
MeatBall Kitchen — The Natick Mall location of MeatBall Kitchen has shut down, Boston Restaurant Talk reports, leaving one location in Wilbraham. The restaurant offered Italian fare, including bruschetta, stuffed artichokes, salads, soups, and meatballs served with a choice of sauces in sandwich or pizza form, or alone. There were also pastas, meat entrees, and desserts.
Brick Wall Kitchen — This Brookline restaurant that served breakfast and lunch closed down at the end of February and may soon be replaced by a new restaurant called Bess’s Cafe.
Einstein Bros. — The food court in the MIT Coop lost a bagel place with the closure of Einstein Bros. A new deli will reportedly replace it.
Wicked Restaurant and Wine Bar — The Dedham restaurant closed down, according to BRT, leaving one open location in Mashpee. Wicked served small plates, pizzas, salads, burgers, pasta dishes, and sandwiches.
