A London-based chain of noodle restaurants plans to open another location in Boston, this time in the growing Seaport District. A new Wagamama is slated for 100 Northern Ave., according to Boston Restaurant Talk, which would bring the total number of locations in the Boston area to four.
The restaurant will operate within nearly 6,000 square feet of space on the ground floor of the building, with a kitchen and bar as well as a seasonal patio, per a City of Boston licensing board hearing agenda. Wagamama serves a wide range of noodle-based dishes, including ramen, in addition to curry, donburi (steamed rice dishes), salads, and juices. There are also gluten-free dishes available.
Boston’s Seaport District is in the midst of a massive growth spurt that’s bringing in a wealth of new dining options. Within the last month, Aceituna Grill, By Chloe, Yoki Express, and Tikkaway Grill have all opened, and there are more restaurants on the way.
Wagamama’s other area locations are in Faneuil Hall, at the Prudential Center, and in Harvard Square.
