A Medford sushi restaurant now has a takeout-friendly sibling in Boston’s Seaport District: Yoki Express officially opened at 101 Seaport Blvd. this week, according to Boston Restaurant Talk, joining a few other freshly opened restaurants in the same building. First announced back in August 2015, Yoki was originally slated for a spring 2016 debut in the Seaport.
Yoki Express specializes in fast-casual Japanese-inspired dishes, including customizable sushi burritos and sushi bowls, as well as the increasingly trendy Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls. Diners can choose between white and brown rice, assorted vegetables, and a main hot or cold protein. Those options range from shrimp tempura and barbecue pulled pork to tuna, salmon, chicken salad, and tofu. Yoki also offers a lineup of signature sushi burritos for those who don’t want to make too many decisions, and there’s a catering menu and delivery options as well.
The restaurant serves sushi-grade seafood and sources antibiotic and hormone-free meat and poultry, in addition to using biodegradable and compostable to-go bags and containers. Yoki Express shares the building with the recently opened Aceituna Grill, By Chloe, Tikkaway Grill, and a forthcoming Juice Press.
The Seaport restaurant is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
