A new Brazilian restaurant has opened its doors in Watertown, taking over the space where Power Cafe used to operate. Steam Flavor is now up and running at 45 Lexington St., according to Wicked Local, featuring a wide range of Brazilian dishes and a hearty buffet.

Steam Flavor is the work of co-owners Roni Louzada and his daughter Thamara Martins, who emphasize the restaurant’s buffet in addition to a selection of a la carte items. The menu includes assorted meat skewers and burgers, plus rice and beans, baked tilapia, fried plantains, cubed pork loin, and a pasta of the day. The buffet menu rotates daily and costs $7.49 per pound of food, as Boston Restaurant Talk reported, and there is a salad bar and plenty of vegetarian entrees available as well. Steam Flavor could eventually add more restaurants in the area.

Steam Flavor is open Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
