An Irish pub in Back Bay has shut down for good and will soon be replaced by a new restaurant. Crossroads Irish Pub closed out business at 495 Beacon St. this weekend and posted a message of thanks to its customers on Facebook.
“We're so thankful to our many regulars and all the friendly faces that have shared a pint or two of beer with us over the years,” the post read. It went on to invite customers to its affiliated restaurants, including Lir, Globe Bar & Cafe, McGann’s Irish Pub, and the Paradise.
With Crossroads’ closure, restaurateurs George Vinal and Angelo Stamos will step in to open St. Locale, as previously reported. The new restaurant aims to be a neighborhood spot that will have a wine and craft cocktail program, though specifics of the menu have not yet been shared.
