A new concept could soon take the place of a popular restaurant and bar near Boston’s TD Garden. The North Star sought permission from the City of Boston to transfer its food and alcohol license to a new entity called Rogue Lounge, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
Rogue Lounge would switch up the vibe for which the 222 Friend St. restaurant has come to be known, leaning a touch away from the sports bar style towards a “more professional, calm lounge experience,” Universal Hub reported. The move comes on the heels of nearby high-end apartments opening for residents, including Avalon North, as Eater sister site Curbed noted back in December.
The North Star serves familiar sports bar fare, including chicken wings, sliders, nachos, and burgers, plus sandwiches, soups, and hearty entrees. It has been open since 2010.
