Two longtime Boston restaurateurs are shutting down their 10-year-old French bistro in Cambridge and will bring a new concept to the same space. Tim and Bronwyn Wiechmann will close T.W. Food Restaurant on February 19 in preparation for the forthcoming changes, as Boston Restaurant Talk reported.
While the new concept does not yet have a name, Wiechmann told Boston Magazine they will steer away from the tasting menu format that put seasonal ingredients front and center in French-inspired dishes at T.W. Food. While keeping things refined, they will instead pursue a more internationally-focused menu at 377 Walden St.
After T.W. Food’s last day, the space will undergo some interior renovations with a goal of reopening sometime in late March.
The Wiechmanns are also behind Bronwyn in Somerville’s Union Square.
