Another new sushi spot rolled into town last weekend, bringing with it the trendiest seafood dishes to hit Boston in the last few months. New Sushi, Inc. opened its doors on Saturday at 106 Cambridge St., courtesy of local restaurateur Henderson Li, who is no stranger to the sushi concept: He is also behind Nijiya, an all-you-can-eat sushi spot in Medford, and Hoshi-ya in Brighton, as previously reported.
New Sushi, Inc. is in a prime spot to cater to the lunchtime crowds of Downtown Boston and Government Center. The restaurant moved into the space formerly occupied by Blue Fuji and took up the cause for sushi burritos and poke bowls, both of which have been gaining traction at a handful of new restaurants in Greater Boston, including Manoa Poke Shop near Porter Square and Pokéworks and OGinger in Davis Square.

Li’s restaurant serves six different signature sushi burritos, filled with shrimp tempura, grilled chicken, tuna, salmon, or avocado, along with other items like crab salad, onion crisps, sesame seeds, and assorted sauces. Diners can also customize their burritos with a choice of two or three kinds of protein and additional toppings. The protein options can also come in a poke bowl with sticky white rice or in a salad bowl.
New Sushi, Inc. is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
