A Connecticut-based restaurant opens an outpost in Boston’s Seaport today, bringing fast-casual, health-conscious Indian cuisine to Massachusetts. Tikkaway Grill opens the doors at its new 55 Boston Wharf Rd. restaurant at 11 a.m., just in time for the Monday lunch crowds.
Tikkaway specializes in customizable Indian-inspired dishes, including roti wraps, rice bowls, and salad bowls, as previously reported. The menu features everything from chicken, chickpeas, lamb, cheese, and potatoes to signature sauces, samosas, and lassis. Founder Gopinath V. Nair first opened Tikkaway Grill in New Haven, CT in 2013, and with the addition of this new Seaport restaurant, he taps into a growing neighborhood that will see an increased demand for lunchtime options as more office buildings welcome new businesses.
Tikkaway Grill joins the newly opened By Chloe (stylized as by Chloe.) and Aceituna Grill in the new WS Development building at 101 Seaport Blvd., which is the headquarters for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Eventually, there will also be a Juice Press and a Yoki Express in the same building.
