A Korean restaurant chain with locations spread out around the country will soon bring so much chicken to Boston, taking over a space in Allston formerly occupied by SoulFire Barbecue. The restaurant, called BB.Q Chicken, specializes in Korean-style chicken and serves wings, salads, pizzas, and assorted Korean dishes like kimchi fried rice and Spam kimbap.
This will be the first New England restaurant for BB.Q Chicken, which most recently opened a location in Manhattan’s Koreatown. The new Allston restaurant is the replacement for SoulFire Barbecue, which closed down in January after also shuttering its newer location in Mission Hill, as previously reported.
The menu for BB.Q Chicken consists of a wide range of chicken dishes, including both fried and grilled options. There are also pasta and rice dishes, plus burgers, soups, and salads, according to the restaurant chain’s website.
