A new restaurant is almost ready to make its debut in a familiar spot on the North Shore. The Serenitee Restaurant Group will soon unveil its newest concept, Happy Belly, in the space that formerly housed Alchemy (also a Serenitee restaurant), which closed in January 2016. When Alchemy closed down, a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page indicated the new concept would move in a more casual direction, as previously reported.

"We want a space where families can dine out regularly with great food, drinks and a fun, casual vibe. So, we're going to make that. We don't know exactly how it will look or what the food will be, but we're going to figure it out; and when we do, we'll let you know," the post read.

Happy Belly plans to be just that — a casual, family friendly restaurant that will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, according to a rep. The restaurant will roast coffee on site, in addition to baking its own breads and pastries. There will also be fresh juices available, as well as draft cocktails. While the restaurant is still working to finalize menu items, a Craigslist post indicates the cuisine will be “globally influenced casual cuisine.”

The Serenitee Restaurant Group operates nine other restaurants on the North Shore.
