For those who need an extra boost of caffeine today in the post-snowstorm haze, there is a new place to pick up warm beverages and snacks in Brookline. Caffe Nero opened its doors at 1633 Beacon St. in Washington Square this morning, as the Brookline Tab reported, and is offering customers free coffee until 3 p.m. today, as is custom for the first day of each new location.
Caffe Nero is a European-based coffee chain that has popped up all over Greater Boston within the last year, bringing Italian-style coffees to the likes of Wellesley, Andover, Brookline Village, Longwood, and Cambridge. In its newest Brookline home, Caffe Nero joins Cafe Fixe, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Athan’s European Bakery in serving the Square. Another new Caffe Nero is headed for South Boston in the coming months, slated to open at 416 W. Broadway in mid- to late spring.
