JP sushi shop Kamado Super Fusion (779 Centre St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130) has closed, reports Jamaica Plain News. A public notice from the Boston Licensing Board indicates that a business called Soup Shack Inc. has applied for a new common victualler license at that location, and it will be dealing in Asian noodle soups. In fact, per the licensing document, the actual restaurant name could be Asian Noodle Soup. Anotai Sompatsosira is the manager on record and doesn’t appear to be connected to any other Boston restaurants.

Asian Noodle Soup could seat 16 and operate between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Kamado opened in January 2014 and offered eaters a variety of sushi and sashimi options, as well as several noodle and fried rice dishes. The property was purchased by Milton-based development company Hajjar Management in August 2016. At the time, Hajjar claimed they had no new plans for the property — it is unclear at this time if the management company is involved in the change.

As of publication, the voice mailbox for the business at 779 Centre St. is still set up as Kamado Super Fusion, though the restaurant officially closed on November 21. Eater has reached out to all parties involved and will update this story as new information become available.
