A fledgling restaurant in Newton closed down this month after just six months in business. Grande Kitchen + Bar (118 Needham St.) closed down with little notice, and its online presence has disappeared, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
Opentable also indicates that the restaurant has closed, and a Yelp user reports that no reason was given for the closure. Grande Kitchen opened in June, taking over from Mick Morgan’s, an Irish pub that closed down in April, as previously reported.
The restaurant hired Adam Kube, formerly of Bastille Kitchen, as its executive chef to oversee the New American menu, which included items ranging from porcini arancini appetizers, beef tartare, and grilled oysters to salads, soups, and charcuterie. The entrees included sandwiches and burgers, flatbreads, and salmon, and the restaurant also operated a Sunday brunch with a mimosa bar.
The restaurant’s website is already out of commission, and its Facebook page has disappeared.
