A longstanding bar in Boston’s West End near TD Garden will undergo a name change in January, sporting some renovations. Hurricane O’Reilly’s (150 Canal St.) will reemerge as Hurricane’s at the Garden in January 2018, now under the direction of the Briar Group, which took over the restaurant from the Glynn Hospitality Group in August, as previously reported.

Alterations to the space have begun while the restaurant remains open. Changes include an updated interior and bar area, with brick and industrial accents. The restaurant’s sound system will also get an upgrade, and there will be high-def televisions around the restaurant, which spans nearly 7,000 square feet.

As for the food, executive chef Patricio Morales has prepared a menu of burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and more. There will be a full bar with 16 draft lines.

Hurricane’s at the Garden joins several other restaurants in the Briar Group family, including its neighbor in the West End, the Harp, along with Solas, Glass House, K2 Cafe, Anthem Kitchen & Bar, and others.
