A chicken-centric restaurant is new serving up piles and piles of wings in Cambridgeport. Chick Chick Boom has officially opened within the former Frozen Yogi space (80 River St.), and it has a wing-filled menu available for the neighborhood.

The restaurant is the work of Thelonious Monkfish’s owner, Jamme Chantler, and its chef, Ginger Phomjun, who built a menu around chicken, drawing upon elements of Asian cuisine, in addition to traditional American wing flavors. There are 12 varieties, including Buffalo and barbecue, as well as spicy peanut, honey miso, and mango habanero. With an option of bone-in or boneless wings, diners can also get steamed Jasmine rice, noodle dishes, and sides like fries and onion rings. Not available yet are the planned desserts — deep-fried Oreos and Snickers bars — but stay tuned for their arrival.

Chick Chick Boom operates seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. on weekdays and from 12 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on weekends.
