Nantucket-based fast-casual pizzeria chain Oath Pizza is continuing its rapid expansion throughout the Boston area (and beyond): A new location opens in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood this coming Tuesday, November 7, at 1350 Boylston St., inside a new residential building called The Harlo. Look for it diagonally across the street from the brand new Eventide Fenway.
But Oath fans may want to wait until Thursday, November 9 to visit — or go both days, why not? — because Thursday is the day of the grand opening celebration: half off any pizza from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., along with cheese and charcuterie bites from Narragansett Creamery and Vermont Smoke & Cure, two local purveyors that Oath Pizza uses. There will also be live music and giveaways during the grand opening.
Formerly called Oath Craft Pizza, the brand has simplified its name and revamped its look as it continues to grow throughout Massachusetts and to Fairfax, Virginia, and New York City’s Upper East Side. The 35-seat Fenway location features the new design, which was a collaboration among several New York-based firms — interior design firm Revamp, branding studio Kern + Lead, and graphic artists Young Jerks (who designed a Fenway Park-themed mural for Oath, among other details).
Oath Pizza features pizzas with a thin, crispy crust that’s grilled and seared in avocado oil. Customers can “make a selfie,” designing their own pizzas from a variety of sauce and topping options, but there are also “classic” combinations and “highly decorated pizzas,” such as the Spicy Mother Clucker (mozzarella, pickled red onions, spiced chicken, Sriracha, spicy aioli, and scallions). And there’s a dessert pizza too, topped with chocolate chunk cookie dough, ricotta, and powdered sugar.
This is the seventh location for Oath Pizza; the sixth opened in Cambridge’s Central Square at the end of the summer. At least eight more are planned for the next year.
