Please don’t stop the music; the music always stops. Emerald Lounge will close this December, reports Boston Restaurant Talk. The space — which functions as a nightclub inside of the Revere Hotel Boston Common where patrons can get bottle service but also a lobster roll — opened in the Revere Hotel in 2012.

Along with DJ nights and something called “Champagne & Chill,” the Emerald Lounge offers a menu of small plates and extensive cocktail, beer, and wine lists. The Emerald Lounge is planning a closing party for December 2, which will begin at 10 p.m.

To this point, it is unclear why the Emerald Lounge is ceasing operations, though a representative from the Revere Hotel Boston Common told Eater via a written statement that the hotel plans to debut a new restaurant in the spring of 2018.

“The new restaurant will be the next phase of the property’s recent multi-million dollar transformation and will be an iconic destination inspired by the city of Boston’s rich history and innovative spirit,” explained the statement.

This is an ongoing story and will be updated when new information is available.
