Cambridge is about to get a little more chocolatey thanks to two pop-ups happening in Central and Harvard squares this holiday season.
EHChocalatier, based out of Somerville, will begin appearing at Central Bottle Wine + Provisions near Central Square (196 Massachusetts Ave.) starting Thursday, November 16. Dubbed “Central Chocolate,” the pop-up will last through December 22, spanning the holiday season.
Central Bottle has previously stocked products from EHChocolatier, and Central Bottle founder Liz Vilardi is once again partnering with the chocolate shop’s owners, Catharine Sweeney and Elaine Hsieh, to carry the sweet treats in the form of a pop-up shop. Customers will have the opportunity to purchase chocolate from EHChocolatier during Central Bottle’s usual hours, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Meanwhile, up in Harvard Square, Gâté Comme des Filles and Somerville Chocolate are gearing up for another year popping up at Lizzy’s Ice Cream (29 Church St.). Gâté Comme des Filles, from Alexandra Whisnant, and Somerville Chocolate, from Eric Parkes, will be available in the Harvard Square shop from December 1 to February 28, as Boston Magazine notes.
On opening day, there will be bonbons and mousse available for free, while supplies last. From then on, visitors will be able to purchase the bonbons along with brownies, hot chocolate mixes, and Somerville Chocolate bars, among other items. Whisnant’s chocolate waffle cones will also be on hand for those wanting an extra treat with their ice cream.
