A Texas-based chain of burger restaurants with a silly name and three existing locations in Massachusetts will add another in Boston proper. Mooyah Burgers, Fries and Shakes is on the way to 140 Tremont St., where it will take over for Ziti’s Italian Express, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
Mooyah’s most recent addition to the area opened in Jamaica Plain at 225 Centre St. in June, and the restaurant celebrated its arrival with special deals and some proceeds donated to a non-profit organization. There are also locations in Northborough and Billerica. Now, Mooyah will bring burgers to the heart of Boston replacing Ziti’s, which had taken the place of another burger restaurant, the local chain UBurger.
Mooyah’s menu includes burgers topped with items like bacon and jalapeños, and there are turkey burger and chicken options for sandwiches as well. The restaurant also has vegetarian options, plus hot dogs, assorted french fries, and salads, along with ice cream shakes.
The Mooyah website confirms the forthcoming Boston location and indicates a fifth Mooyah will open in Berlin, MA as well. Stay tuned for specifics on the opening timeline for Downtown Boston’s Mooyah restaurant.
