A restaurant in Boston’s Back Bay is relocating, and its new home will be within walking distance of the original location. Globe Bar & Cafe will vacate its current space at 565 Boylston St. and will end up closer to the Boston Public Garden at 384 Boylston St., the former home of Rattlesnake Bar & Grill, per a message from the restaurant.
Boston Restaurant Talk first reported the move for Globe Bar & Cafe, which has operated for more than a decade at 565 Boylston. The restaurant is affiliated with both Lir (an Irish pub also located on Boylston Street) and McGann’s Irish Pub in the West End. The restaurant serves a range of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees that include pasta dishes and items like steak tips, grilled salmon, and more.
The Rattlesnake, which featured a menu from chef Brian Poe (Tip Tap Room, Bukowski Tavern), closed down in November of 2016, as previously reported. Stay tuned for updates on the timeline for the Globe Bar relocation.
