Wicked Bagel Bakery & Deli Opens Next Week

Lexington will overflow with bagels, coffee, and more next week, when Wicked Bagel Bakery & Deli opens its doors at 171 Massachusetts Ave. The newest addition to the neighborhood’s breakfast options is the work of two residents who wanted to open a business in their hometown.

Jack and Maria Mahoney partnered with baker Marcos Bastos, who has 15 years of experience and will oversee bagel production in-house each day. The restaurant’s menu will feature bagels front and center, with a selection of schmears, including various cream cheeses, maple butter, peanut butter, and Nutella, with toppings like sliced banana, tomato, and avocado available. There will also be bagel sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, made with everything from eggs, bacon, and cheese to chicken salad and smoked salmon. Wicked Bagel Bakery will also have hot and iced coffee, standard cold brew and nitro cold brew, hot chocolate, and tea.

The team is aiming for an opening on October 26, sales director Robin Plimpton-Magee told Eater, and they have already received positive feedback from the neighborhood.

“We have great neighbors in our little plaza, and lots of companies in and around Lexington have reached out to us and our excited for opening,” Plimpton-Magee said.
